Staple 

Clothing

• To encourage independence, parents are advised to send their children in clothing which is easy for the children to manage themselves when toileting.

• Although not compulsory, we have Staple Pre-School T-shirts and sweatshirts available to buy.                         T-shirts are £4.75, Sweatshirts are £8.25.

• Please send your child with an extra change of clothes and ensure that all clothes that are likely to be removed e.g. jumpers, cardigans and coats are clearly named.

• Children will require an outdoor coat and wellies, hats, gloves and a sunhat depending on the season.

Snacks

• The Pre-school provides the children with a mid-morning snack. This  is a social time at which children and adults eat together.

• We plan the menus for snack so that they provide the children with healthy and nutritious food.

• We offer children a variety of fruit, vegetables and breadsticks with a choice of water or milk.

• Please tell us about your child’s dietary needs and we will make sure that these are met.

Lunch 

• If your child is staying for lunch, please provide them with a named packed lunch and water bottle

• Parents must provide healthy options for lunch, staff can offer advice on this

Sickness

• If your child is sick and has a contagious illness Staple Pre-School is not permitted by our licensing authority to admit your child.

• Please text the Pre-School on 07816841429 or telephone after 8.15am to let us know that they will be away.

• If your child is sick during the day you will contacted straight away and asked to come and collect them.

• We have a no return policy for 48 hours after sickness or diarrhoea.

Bad Weather 

• Should the pre-school need to close due to bad weather you will be notified via text and/or the FAMLY app
