> What do I need to bring for my child?

All year round: An extra change of clothes.  If your child is in nappies then you need to bring spare nappies, wipes and nappy sacs.
Summer:
Sun hat and sun cream.

Winter: Coat, hat, scarf, gloves and wellies.

Please ensure items of clothing are clearly named.

The pre-school encourages children to gain the skills that help them to be independent and look after themselves. These include taking themselves to the toilet and taking off – and putting on – outdoor clothes. Clothing which is easy for them to manage will help them to do this.

The pre-school provides protective clothing for the children when they play with messy activities.

We also have Staple Pre-School t-shirts and sweatshirts available to buy.  T-shirts are £4.50, Sweatshirts are £7.75

> Do I need to label my childs entire clothing?

You only really need to label items that are likely to be removed such as outer wear (coats, hats, scarves etc) sweatshirts and jumpers, welly boots and also any bags and lunch boxes.

> What do I do if my child does not settle?

It is unusual for a child not to settle once a parent has gone. Most children settle very quickly. The excitement of new surroundings and playing with other children usually helps to settle them. Your child will be allocated a key person who will help your child settle. If we have any concerns about your child we will always ring and discuss these concerns with you. Between us we can overcome any difficulties.

When you pick your child up you will be asked to sign the book to agree that you are content with how the matter was handled.
