The Management of Staple Pre-School

Staple pre-school is a non-profit charity, which is run by a ‘parent management committee’.  It’s members are elected by the parents of the children who attend the pre-school. The committee meets regularly to talk about the every day running of the pre-school, finances, fund raising events and any other important issues.

Every parent is welcome along to these informal meetings, to meet the other parents, committee members, staff, and most importantly to have an input into your child’s care and education. Giving up a little of your spare time to become an active committee member would be a great opportunity and benefit your child and the pre-school. Just come along to a meeting!

The committee is responsible for:

• Managing the pre-school’s finances.
• Employing and managing the staff
• Making sure that the pre-school has and works to policies which help it to provide a high quality service’
• Making sure that the pre-school works in partnership with the children’s parents.

The Annual General Meeting is open to the parents of all the children who attend the pre-school. It is their forum for looking back over the previous year’s activities and shaping the coming year.
