Welcome to Staple Pre-School
Providing high quality care and education for children
Staple Pre-School is a small, friendly, village Pre-School, set up in 1967, which is held on five mornings a week at Staple Village Hall. The Village Hall is a spacious new hall completed in 1999, adjacent to the village recreation ground and childrens’ play area which the children are able to enjoy during outside activities. We are located near the villages of Ash and Wingham and only 9 miles from Canterbury.
Our last OFSTED report stated “Children play in a warm and welcoming environment at activities that meet their individual and group interests and therefore aid good development through the Early Years Foundation Stage. They are supported by staff that interact and expand on their knowledge as well as valuing continuous interaction and contribution from parents and carers.”
“Children play in a safe, secure and clean environment. Toys and resources have to be cleared from the hall each day so when staff set up each morning they think about children’s interests and what they are enjoying playing with, therefore extending their learning. Toys and resources are arranged attractively around the room and children make choices about what they play with supported by caring staff who take a keen interest in what children are doing, supporting their development.”
We offer a lunch club and during the school summer holidays we also run a Holiday Club!
HELPERS ALWAYS WELCOME to aid the committee and staff in their work. Parental support is essential to the running of the pre-school. Please come along and offer what ever time you can!
